Silk, Straps And Spots.

If I was £1,704 better off and didn't have to work this evening, I would revel in gathering this outfit for a far more titillating occasion.

Arrowhead Sterling Silver & Obsidian Necklace, £1,085, Pamela Love. Y Satin Envelope Clutch, £505, Yves Saint Laurent. Pink Silk Racer Back Strappy Cami By Boutique, £38, Taupe Leopard Print Silk Cropped Trousers By Boutique, Java Black Suede Wedges, £65, all Topshop. Nails in Cadogan Square, £11, Nails Inc.

Chin Chin.

Swanky Safari.

'Practical' sandals, baggy vest, stone chinos and tribal decor can only mean one thing; a bloody fabulous safari ensemble. Not that you have to be on safari to wear it, the Savannah and wildlife would merely be the ideal accessory. I have tried these sandals on a grand total of three times, but they look like a shoe and not a sandal once on - an arguably overcritical detail I have tried to see past but simply can't. A victim of my own fastidious fashion if you like. Nevertheless wear the following this Summer if effortless style is you forte.

Cotton-Voile Tank, £60, Chinti and Parker. Tribal Spike Three-Finger Sterling Silver Ring, £535, Pamela Love. Repeat That Tan Sandals, £55, Office. Stone Chino Shorts, £30, Multi Woven Leather Plaited Belt, £26, both Topshop.

Heart Hobo.

A tad hobo but it's all relevant. Throw in some dirty hair and a fox tail and jobs a gudden.

Bjorg Gorge.

Yet another jewellery label lust. Not hard to see where it came from this time. Raw metal, anatomical references and natures finest feathers and stones. I hate to be predictable but I guess in this instance I am.

Small Splurge.

I need to stop spending now.

Claw Spike Earrings, £8, ASOS.

Tandem Navy Canvas Deck Trainers, £22, Topshop.

Leaf Ear Cuff, £10, ASOS.

And a few other jewellery, make up, headbands and the like.

House of Harlow.

I've been meaning to dedicate a post to Nicole Richie's jewellery line, House of Harlow, for a while now. Here it is. The following are priced from £28-£100 so it's actually an option and not just another trip to a fantasy jewellery land. Topshop have recently done a high street alternative to the multicoloured hexagonal ring, it's not online yet though. I'm a sucker for a bit of shell so I'm quite content.

Bag Watch.

Some lustworthy new bags on the scene...

Kate Sheridan Pocket Front Rucksack, £135.

First Porter Call.

I try not to visit Mr Porter too often because I simply cannot handle the air of gentlman that engulfs me. My jealousy is an embarrassment. Today, however, I have failed and looked at every item on the site. A 'few' faves...

18.4.11

High Street vs High End.

Nude Beaded Ruched Front Panel Dress By Dress Up, £80, Topshop. vs. Samara Embellished Silk-Crepe Dress, £840, Rachel Gilbert.

Colourful Carrousel.

Unsure where this post came from really. I definitely don't have the most colourful wardrobe, not by a long shot. But recently I've seen a few colourful things I like, and in all honesty am a little taken aback. One step at a time, blog before I buy.

Safari Print Shirt, £22, Topshop.

Opal-Embellished Climbing Rope Necklace, £450, Proenza Schouler.

African Print Dipped Hem T-Shirt, £55, Horace.

A Lot Of Lanvin Lovin'.

Tell me, can Lanvin do no wrong this season? I challenge you to critique the following, not taking factors such as wearability or price into account because they are arguably irrelevant. As per, I've saved the best til last.

Textured Suede Derby Shoes, £310. Stitch Detail Bow Tie, £155. Large Patchwork Leather Bag, £1,015. Leather Oxford Shoes, £575.

14.4.11

Cross My Heart.

Another, jewellery lust. This time it is Maria Francesca Pepe. Equally as masculine, gothic and metal-heavy as all predecessors.
Vampire Sleepers, £67, Cross Ade Ring £55, Piercing Earring, £88, Fangs Ade Ring, £55.

13.4.11

Aspirational Asprey.

I don't think Asprey can do wrong. From safes and salt shakers to magnifying glasses and mother of pearl spoons. Let's just forget the formalities, like prices, they have no use here.

12.4.11

Blazers, Bandeaus And Bittersweet Good Buys.

As student loan day fast approaches, my usually overzealous idealistic finds become all too possible. Someone take my card before it's too late.

11.4.11

My Apologies.

It is officially the most stressful week of my academic calender and for that I can only apologise. Much to my dismay, the blog posts will suffer but I'll try my utmost not to completely neglect it. If you are on here looking to procrastinate, like I do with much of my time, you might like to take a look at Peter Szuhay's website. He is an antique collector and whilst admittedly I almost fell asleep typing 'antique collector', there is the odd diamond in the rough. For example, the 'vintage bone and albatros quill pipe' below in May's VOGUE came from his collection. Pro: it's a skull. Con: it cost £800.

Pre Work Mini Spree.

Nothing like a little shop to try and remotely incentivize the forthcoming week from hell. Give me the strength to survive this week and give these wonderful purchases the attention and outings they deserve.

Black Floral Print Shirt, £38, Topshop.

Lips in Muted, £8, Topshop.

Medium Leather Carry-All Pouch, £40, American Apparel. (Excuse the DIY picture, I couldn't find this leather online, it's that special)
